Matt black is the quietest way to be loud. The Skullpot in Black Matt refuses gloss and gimmick — and is uncompromising for that reason. The skull stays clearly readable; the matt surface swallows fingerprints and light reflections and turns the bathroom into a room with character instead of a default. This skull toilet is the world's only skull-shaped WC in genuine sanitary ceramic: a wall-hung bowl with a rimless flush and a soft-close seat, not a costume that happens to connect to a cistern. If the price sounds like a great deal of money for a joke, that is the right scepticism — and the wrong object. Black Matt is for anyone who does not shout individuality, but plants it and leaves it there: guest cloakroom, dark tiled wet room, or a main bathroom that should not look like the neighbour’s.

Features & benefits

  • Matt-black ceramic surface: Reduces water marks and fingerprints in daily use more visibly than high-gloss — practical for a bathroom that is used every day, not only photographed. The skull toilet still reads; the surface simply does not perform.
  • Sculptural, but functional: The skull form is a design decision, not a compromise on sit comfort or on the function of a full wall-hung WC bowl. You sit, flush and clean as you would on any serious ceramic.
  • Rimless flush with soft-close: Easy cleaning thanks to rimless flush technology, and a toilet seat with a gentle soft-close instead of a slam — hospitality manners at home.
  • Geberit-compatible: Standard wall mounting, fits common concealed cistern systems — no reconstruction of the existing sanitary installation. The extraordinary object uses an ordinary connection.
  • Built for everyday loads: Up to 400 kg on the toilet, 100 kg on the lid — design that does not only look the part, but carries it. That load rating is how a skull toilet stops being a gag.

Frequently asked questions

Is matt black harder to clean than glossy ceramic?
No — the opposite. Water marks and limescale edges show far less on the matt surface than on high gloss. Everyday, non-abrasive sanitary cleaner is enough. You are not trading hygiene for atmosphere.

Does a black skull toilet even belong in a “normal” bathroom?
Surprisingly well — matt black is among the most requested bathroom colours at present and, with wood, concrete or light ceramic, reads as elegant rather than shocking. The skull is the statement; the colour is already in the contemporary palette.

I rent. May I have the Skullpot installed?
Yes — you simply refit the original toilet when you move out. The Skullpot remains your property and moves with you. A wall-hung skull toilet that follows the usual mounting standard is a swap, not a renovation project.

Does this not cost distinctly more than a normal toilet?
Yes, noticeably more than DIY-store standard ware — in return you get a glaze-hardened design object that is unique worldwide, lasts for years and actually sets your bathroom apart from the neighbour’s. Comparable to the price of high-end designer wallpaper, except — unlike wallpaper — it moves house with you.
